Gorilla trekking in Rwanda allows you to spend a day or two in Musanze the “gorilla town of Rwanda” with amazing views of the Volcanoes national park, the Virunga mountains and tea plantations near Musanze.

Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park.
On arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be met by our guide driver. You will head straight to Volcanoes National Park, which is three hours drive to the northern part of the country through lush, green landscape of the countryside. Enjoy the spectacular views of the landscape and the hills on both sides as you approach Volcanoes National Park.
Stay at a hotel of your choice. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the gorilla tracking the next morning.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes national park.
In the morning transfer to Kinigi park headquarters in Musanze town for a briefing by the park warden. Guests are accordingly allocated their specific Gorilla groups for tracking in respect to their physical abilities.
At 8:00am local time all tourists are transferred to various starting points for gorilla trekking. Normally it takes 1 to 6 hours to encounter the mountain gorillas as they keep moving from one point to another.
Upon spotting them, you are free to stay in their presence taking photographs and imitating their calls.
Your driver guide will wait for you at the starting point to transfer you back to your hotel for some rest and a hot lunch.
You will spend part of your evening at Iby’wachu Cultural Village before returning to your hotel for dinner and an overnight around Kinigi or Musanze.
Dinner and overnight at your preferred accommodation.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali for city tour & Departure
Have an early morning breakfast and transfer back to Kigali for a tour around the city.
Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site in Gisozi, Kemironko local market and the Nyamirambo Women’s Centre and then proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
