Serengeti means “plains without end”  in the Maasai language.

Created in 1951, Serengeti is the second largest national park in Tanzania, but by far the most famous.

Here, we are at the heart of the immense savannas of East Africa.

Animals of a wide variety of species and of all sizes are born here, grow up here, and live here, in the ancient rhythms since the first days of creation, conjuring the Ark of Noah.

The Great wildebeest Migration is famous throughout the world for its spectacle of millions of animals moving across the plains.

At the beginning of the dry season, zebras, wildebeests, and gazelles travel over 200 kilometers from the north to the south, consuming more than 4000 tons of grass per day.

This is a unique natural spectacle, as much for its beauty as for its tragedy.

In the heart of the park lies a verdant green landscape of acacias, the iconic image of the Serengeti.

Here, the animals are at home. People are but spectators of these scenes of life, where the instinct for survival, family life, and the reality of nature blend and are amplified. Night and day, the fundamental laws of nature reign supreme.

You will start this portion of your safari in the area between Ngorongoro and Serengeti, learning about the Great Migration.

Your will then explore the central Serengeti, including viewing the non-migratory animals.

The next portion of your journey will be spent tracking and viewing the large cats, which follow the migration.

Finally, you will take walking tour of Ngorongoro, getting up close and personal with the wildlife and the landscape.

Overnight and dinner around Ngorongoro conservation area.

Day 8: Game drive en route to Arusha

Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

This morning, we depart Serengeti to return to Arusha for an overnight or transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.

On the way, you’ll have one last chance to view the flora and fauna. We will stop at a village on the way to stretch our legs and give you the chance to buy souvenirs.

For those who plan on continuing their trip with a visit to Zanzibar, we can arrange a flight directly from Serengeti.

End of safari!!
