Day 1: Arrival At Bujumbura International Airport
On arrival at Bujumbura international airport, you will meet our guide driver, who will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel in Bujumbura. Depending on the arrival time, you will proceed with a city tour around Bujumbura. Places to visit in the city include; Living Museum, Livingstone- Stanley monument, independence monument, the beaches of Lake Tanganyika, cultural and religious sites.
After your city tour around Bujumbura, you will head back to your hotel for dinner and prepare for the next day’s activity.

Day 2: Rusizi National Park
Early in the morning after break, you will drive to Rusizi national park a distance of 20 minutes from the city of Bujumbura for an early morning game drive in search for predators hunting down their morning meal of the day and other wildlife roaming around the park with numerous bird species.
Rusizi National Park in Burundi, is located next to the Rusizi River that pours its water into Lake Tanganyika, it is found 15 km north of the city of Bujumbura. The park is home to a large number of hippopotamuses, sitatungas and Nile crocodiles that are said to have killed 300 people
In the afternoon head for a boat cruise along river Rusizi which start from 3:00pm to 4:30pm with sunset being the best times to spot hippos, crocodiles, and birds. These boat cruise trips usually last 40 – 60 minutes a trip. You will be able to see various bird species along the cruise such as pelicans, kingfishers, African fish eagle, lesser flamingo, African skimmer, white winged tern and many more
After the boat cruise you will head back to your lodge for dinner and relax as the day gets darker and prepare for the next day.

Day 3: Karera Waterfalls and Departure
On this day wake as early as possible, check out of your hotel and head to Karera waterfalls. From rusizi to karera waterfalls the distance is about 175km which is a 3 hours drive.
The Karera Waterfalls are a splendid series of natural chutes located in Rutana Province, southeastern Burundi. Situated near Musongati, these falls feature multiple levels (mainly Karera, Mwaro, and others) descending through a lush gallery forest, with the main drop reaching approximately 80 meters.
After your visit to karera waterfalls, our guide driver will transfer you to the airport for you next adventure/ destination as you say good bye to Burundi
