Close to 100 species of mammals and about 606 types of birds dwell within this park. Among them are the: large schools of hippos, large forest hogs and the good-look Uganda kobs which are all commonly seen on the Mweya Peninsula. This magnificent peninsula prides in a beautiful waterfront locale within the shadows of Mountain Rwenzori. However, the isolated Ishasha Sector is prominent for the resident tree-climbing lions.
The Maramagambo forest is habitat to an attractive diversity of monkeys plus birds, the crater lakes hold thousands of the beautiful pink flamingoes. Also the Kyambura Gorge is habitat to habituated Chimpanzees. Queen Elizabeth National park is the second biggest and one of the most visited savannah parks in Uganda.
The natural wonder of the Kazinga channel stretches 16km from Lake George and 28 km from Lake Edward. This makes it the world’s longest natural channel.
The channel provides for a perfect place for a boat cruise to watch animals as they drink by the water banks.

Detailed tour itinerary.
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park Via Mbarara with a stop at Kayabwe Equator.
Your 3 Days Queen Elizabeth national park wildlife safari begins at 7:00am. Your driver shall pick you from your Hotel after breakfast. Drive westwards through the Masaka- Mbarara highway. Stop at the equator monument in Kayabwe for memorable photos. Proceed to Mbarara town for a hot Lunch.
You shall then proceed to Queen Elizabeth via Ishaka and Kyamuhunga. You will branch off the road in Bunyaruguru to visit the twin crater lakes for about 30 minutes.
You can take time to view the Rwenzori mountains at the Kyambura view point raising your eyes over the savanna Queen Elizabeth national park.
Proceed for rest and an overnight at your booked accommodation in Queen Elizabeth national park.
Dinner and Over night: Ihamba Lakeside safari lodge, Elephant hab lodge (mid range)
Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
After you will head to your Lodge for Dinner and overnight stay
Day 2: Game Drive and the Kazinga Channel boat cruise.
You will wake up at 5:30 and have breakfast at 6:00am. You will be transferred to Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a morning game drive. During the game drive, you will drive via the various channel tracks in search of Lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards, antelopes and several bird life.
You shall also have a view of the salt mining lakes within Queen Elizabeth as you relax and stretch. You will then be transferred to your Lodge for your Lunch. In the afternoon you will go on a Kazinga channel boat cruise where you will spot various birds and wild life on the water banks of the channel. You will later return to the lodge for the evening relaxation, dinner and an overnight.

Day 3: Kasese-Fort portal (Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru, Toro Kingdom palace),Lunch-Proceed to Kampala.
Your 3rd day begins with an early morning breakfast at 6:00am. There after check out and drive through Kasese proceeding to Fort Portal. Visit the mysterious stalactites and stalagmites commonly referred to as Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru and Toro Kingdom Palace.
We shall have lunch in Fort portal and then proceed on your journey to Kampala. The driver will drop you at your hotel or the Airport if your Return Flight falls on this day.
