Detailed Safari Itinerary:
Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhinos (BIG 5)
Start the 9 Days Uganda Exclusive Wildlife Safari with a drive north-west through the famous Luwero Triangle through to Masindi via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to trek the Rhinos (the first of the ‘big 5’ family).
The sanctuary houses Uganda’s Rhino reintroduction project.
You will continue to Masindi Town for lunch and later drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
The entire journey takes 6-7 hours.
Have dinner and an overnight at the lodge of your booking.

Day 2: Murchison Falls National Park Safari and boat trip to bottom of falls:
You will wake up very early and set off at 6.30am for breakfast and cross the Paraa bridge to head for a dawn game drive on the Northern bank of the river.
With the help of a guide you will spot Elephants, Lions, Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyenas and if you are lucky, the leopard.
You will return to your lodge for breakfast and lunch after which you will go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” popular for taking pictures of the majestic Murchison falls.

En-route, you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks and Uganda Kob. This area is also home to many bird species like the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, Pelican bee-eater, Kingfisher, Hornbill, Cormorant and the rare Shoebill stork.
You will after the boat cruise return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Travel to Hoima
You will have breakfast and then drive to Hoima town arriving in the afternoon.
Here you will have the whole afternoon to yourself to relax, revisit your Best of Uganda Wildlife Safari first days moments and spend the night at Hoima KonTik Hotel.

Day 4: Travel from Hoima to Kibale National Park
We depart Hoima after breakfast and head downwards to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal town. This town rests in the shadows the Rwenzori Mountain, the mystical “Mountains of the Moon”.
Along this route you will pass through verdant countryside dotted with traditional homesteads and farms along the Albertine Rift escarpments.
We shall have Lunch in this town after which we shall depart for Chimps in Kibale Forest, arriving at the accommodation facility of your best of Uganda wildlife safari lodge booking in the evening.

Day 5: Primates tour and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After your breakfast we set off for a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others.
Your guide will provide detailed explanations on the primates and the forest fauna and flora to ensure that your walk is informative.
You will return to your lodge for lunch after which we depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park safari game drive.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park
We set off for an early morning game drive (about 6.30am) for the awesome experience of spotting the animals in their natural habitats such as the elephants, solitary cape buffaloes, hyenas, lions, leopards, antelopes, warthogs and beautiful birds.
This park has spectacular sceneries including Crater Lakes and rolling savannah plains overlooking the snowcapped Rwenzori Mountain ranges.
You will return to your lodge for breakfast and relax till lunch timer.
In the afternoon you will take a relaxing 2 hour boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
This is a huge opportunity to spot more animals as they come to cool off down the stream. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos.

Day 7: Game drive in Ishasha and transfer to L.Bunyonyi
You will have an early breakfast and go for a morning game drive in Ishasha sector in search for the tree climbing lions.
Expect to see other animal species such as the warthogs, leopard, spotted hyena and birds.
We will visit the Uganda kob mating ground which is a defined area specifically used by kobs for challenging, enticing and mating adult rams defend a circle territory (30meters diameter) and depending on the season the mating ground can have 20 and more of these small.
After, then you will transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake lies close to the boarder with Rwanda and is said to be one of the most beautiful places in East Africa because of its spectacular scenery.
The jourmey takes 6-7 hours and you will have your lunch enroute. Dinner and overnight will be at one of the many lodges near the lake.

Day 8: Canoeing and hiking on Lake Bunyonyi
You will spend the whole last day of your 9 Days Uganda Exclusive Wildlife Safari undertaking various activities on and around this lake.
You can choose to either have a canoe-ride on the lake to explore the seven most popular islands or a walk through the surrounding hills.
The landscape around the lake is made up of steep slopes covered with lush green vegetation protruding from the water’s edge.
You may also opt to visit the local families to learn about their lifestyles or move to the viewpoints for sightseeing of the beautiful volcanic scenery.

Day 9: Travel to Kampala
You will have breakfast and then set off for Kampala.
You will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will have the remarkable opportunity of standing in two hemispheres at the same time and take some photos.
You will arrive in Kampala in the late afternoon and either be transferred to the airport for your evening departure flight or to the hotel of your booking for dinner and overnight.
